"If you keep Chad, SHUT HIM UP" Repost

Note to Marvin: If you keep Chad, SHUT HIM UP!

Note to Marvin Lewis: you said recently that Chad Johnson would remain a Bengal. You said there would be no trade, no negotiations, etc. Now the real work begins.

Marvin, you have to lay down the law and let Chad know you are his BOSS. No more end zone nonsense, no more crying to the media about how he's not getting the ball enough, etc, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah. You have to mold him into a team player by reminding him FOOTBALL IS A TEAM SPORT! It's not about entertainment, or celebrations in the end zone, or getting more catches, yards and touchdowns than T.J. It's about doing your job and shutting your mouth.

If I want to be "entertained," I'll go to the movies or to a concert. When I watch football, I want to see guys playing as a team and winning games as a team. The honors will come to individual players as these things happen -- it's called reaping the rewards of being a strong team. Focusing on individual accolades does nothing for the team.

You've made some changes, Marvin. Keep it up. Take this team in hand and make them what they need to be -- WINNERS!

GO, Bengals!!

Iggy

I should have left this entry up, keeping in mind developments in Chad's relationship with the Bengals in the last few days. My, oh, my!!

Iggy

P.S. Chad, I'll be happy to see you go. You're not a team player, and your talent is not enough to "carry this team," as you and your ego believe you have had to do for some reason. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. You ARE the weakest link. Goodbye!!
